News from the Directors: cancellations, postponements, etc for 7/31/2010

Managers and coaches, please read the Minuteman Summer League Rules (11.0) in the Minuteman Rules above. Also, please adhere to the Mercy Rule (11.8).

Managers should enter their rosters (player info and manager/coach info) ASAP. Please select "Dugout" above and then select "Summer League" in the Dugout.

All schedule changes should be handled through your town coordinator so as to make sure the fields and umpires are available and assigned for game changes.

Minuteman Summer League Mercy Rule - 11.8 An automatic mercy rule will be in effect. The umpire will stop the game once it becomes official (4 1/2 innings if the home team is ahead or 5 innings if the home team is behind) if one (1) team is ahead by twelve (12) runs (or more) and has had equal time at bat (by innings) or if the home team is leading.

Minuteman Baseball League

2010 marks the 15th season of the Minuteman Baseball League, a spring, summer and fall recreational baseball league for players of ages 13 through 18. The league began in 1996 with teams from Maynard, Sudbury, and Wayland, and then expanded to include Westford in 1998, Concord-Carlisle in 1999, Weston in 2001, Acton-Boxborough in 2005, Littleton in 2006,Wellesley in 2007, Bolton in 2008 and Ayer/Shirley, Hudson and Groton/Dunstable in 2010.
